Career Highlights

• Advising the Save The Redwoods League in the fee acquisition and disposition of the 394-acre Russian River Redwoods property, including negotiating a complex purchase and sale agreement, easements, and an agreement community members concerned about the site’s management.
• Helping manage a litigation team successfully defending the Land Trust of Napa County against claims that the land trust’s road maintenance harmed its neighbors.
• Negotiating and implementing ongoing Public Trust land swap agreements and other entitlements for public agencies redeveloping former military bases around San Francisco Bay, including subdivision mapping and infrastructure agreements.
• Coordinating complex title clearance, transactions, and subdivision mapping required to rebuild the 100% affordable Alice Griffith Community in San Francisco’s Bayview.

Community Service, Publications, and Recognitions

• Co-founder of the Housing & Conservation Forum, a peer group of land trusts interested in affordable housing, and a frequent conference speaker on the legal and policy intersection of conservation and housing.
• Co-led the firm’s efforts to improve diversity, equity, and inclusion within the firm, the legal profession, and our communities.
• Served North Oakland/South Oakland Little League in a variety of roles including assistant coach, scorekeeper, acting general manager, and emergency substitute umpire.
• Co-leader of November Project Oakland running club.
