Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger Celebrates New Partner Laura Beaton
January 21, 2022Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger LLP is proud to announce the addition of Laura Beaton as a partner. She was an associate of the firm before joining the partnership.

Taylor, Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger’s managing partner. “Her considerable experience in renewable energy and contracting, especially, will help our public agency and community group clients alike address issues raised by climate change and advance toward a clean energy future.”
Laura Beaton advises non-profit organizations and public agencies on renewable energy, environmental, land use, and public law matters. Her practice focuses on public contracting, including labor and procurement compliance; state and federal grant compliance; litigation and trials; and advocacy before public utilities commissions across the country. She has guest lectured on land use at Stanford Law School and UC Berkeley School of Law and received the Amicus Service Award from the International Municipal Lawyers Association for her work on an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Beaton graduated from University of Oregon School of Law, Order of the Coif, where she also received a certificate in environmental law. She joined the firm in 2013.
