Sarah M. Lucey

Ms. Lucey joined the firm in 2019 as an environmental law fellow. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

During law school, Ms. Lucey was a member of the Karuk Berkeley Collaborative’s natural resources team, and participated in the East Bay Community Law Center’s Community Economic Justice Clinic, where she drafted bylaws for a California cooperative corporation and advocated for a tenant opportunity to purchase ordinance in the City of Berkeley. Ms. Lucey also served as a term clerk at BART’s Office of the General Counsel. She spent her summers at Shute, Mihaly & Weinberger and the San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission.

Prior to law school, Ms. Lucey worked as a paralegal, and was a key member of a trial team that won an $816 million jury verdict in a statewide groundwater contamination case on behalf of the state of New Hampshire. She holds both an M.A. and B.A. in English Literature from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Ms. Lucey is awaiting the results of the California bar exam and is not yet admitted to the California Bar.
